We don't require them to do their own search, per se. I talk to them about
it and look for similar lists myself if I think there might by a conflict.
So far I don't think it's been a problem and many of our lists are of a very
audience (e.g. until recently we had a list for Chilean Nueroscientists).

Yes. Most choose not to, however, planning to do it later when they are
sure they can handle the load. I think most forget.
