 Thanks to all for the assist.  All files, listnames, log files,
 directories, everything, needed case change. Or at least this approach

As others have indicated, the list header filenames must be translated
from
uppercase to lowercase when migrating from VM to Solaris and other unix
platforms. For example, "TEST LIST" on VM must become "test.list" on
Solaris.
