Hi, folks.

I'd like to know if there's any way to get a list pulled from a
listserv if the listserv managers there fail to respond to messages.
A long time ago (over two years, at least), the DRT list which I "own"
used to be at the listserv at TAMVM1. At the time, we moved it to the
listserv at DARTCMS1 where it still resides and the listserv managers
put in a forwarding address to forward mail from the former to the
latter address.

This worked well until recently when we decided to make the DRS a
confidential list. The DRS (or Dead Runners Society) is a runners'
list also based at Dartmouth, and the DRT (Dead Runners Texas) was
intended to be a sublist of that. We made this move (with DRS)
because we already had too many members and wanted to limit our
exposure. At the same time we also made all spinoff lists (like DRT)
confidential so that people wouldn't consider subscribing to these
just because they couldn't find DRS's location. This is where the
problems start...

The DRT listing at TAMVM1 continued to be non-confidential since we
didn't have the password to change the list. I tried to get the
listserv managers to simply remove the list, but I never got a
response. The addresses I tried were MAINT@TAMVM1 (this is the
address given for a listserv manager as a result of the RELEASE
command) and [log in to unmask] Neither one got any response and I've
tried both addresses over the last 3 or 4 months. In the meantime,
I've had a trickle of subscription requests (since this is now the
only DRS-related list in the list of lists) which I've had to ignore
or redirect.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do next? All I want is to have
the list pulled from the TAMVM1 site. Does anyone know the listserv
managers at that site and let me know how I can get in touch with
them?

Thanks
