As I recall this requires a build date of LISTERV 1.8e of Dec 2002 or later
(also known as Version 14.2).

To find the Build date of your LISTSERV server send the command 

SHOW LICENSE

to your server's LISTSERV address.  

The last line of the response will give the build date:

Maintenance until: 31 Dec 2005 (graduated license)

(14.3 now also shows the Build date also in the SHOW VERSION or RELEASE
command and a couple of other places like the log file, etc.)
