AOL indeed supports Telnet access to their school accounts,
it has for couple years. It's easier with newer
AOL's, Winsock is included, etc. All Winsock-compliant
apps are supported (except email/news for reading
*through AOL*, but they can access non-AOL servers).
A couple trial disks might get them through the summer.
