The "Quiet:" parameter <is> documented, it's just not documented where
it ought to be :(  I see I missed a note to myself to fix that.
 
Anyway, it <is> documented in chapter 2.6 of the 1.8b list owner's
manual (which changes to 2.7 in the 1.8c list owner's manual).
