On the CataList pages for lists, subscription instructions are given as

To subscribe, send mail to [log in to unmask] with the command (paste
it!):

                          SUBSCRIBE LISTNAME-L

There's mention of the fact that normally subscribers are required to
provide a first and last name when trying to sign-up.  Why is this?

Can the pages be changed to say

                  SUBSCRIBE LISTNAME-L FIRSTNAME LASTNAME

or something similar so people don't try to subscribe and then get an error
message back saying, "Sorry, we didn't tell you this before, but you have to
provide your first and last names?"
