Effective immediately,

I have just created a way to bounce messages posted to your respective lists
back to you where the user is using the list to sub and unsub rather than the
listserv.

Your lists have a bad mail file which will mark mail as follows as bad and
return it to the SIG leader...

;Usage:
; Token: SearchStr (_Very_ case sensitive!)
From: daemon
From: Mailer-Daemon
From: daemon
From: DAEMON
From: !uucp
From: uucp@
From: Post Office
Subject: Returned mail: Host
Any: Subscribe reipp
Any: Sub reipp
Any: Subscribe reipp
Any: Sub reipp
Any: set reipp
Any: unsubscribe reipp
Any: unsub reipp
Any: unsubscribe reipp
Any: unsub reipp
Any: please unsubscribe

--------------------
This is just a sample.. but grodno and yizkor have a similar one where
reipp is changed out for the respective mailing list names.

The message should come from: [log in to unmask] You will need to
let the individual know that they need to send these commands to the Listserv
rather than to the mailing list.

I have been handling this for you the last year... but cannot do it any longer.

Otherwise, your list will be cluttered with sub and unsub commands which are
inappropriately sent.

No matter how many places we put the instructions... they don't seem to read!!!

Let me know if you have any problems resulting from this. I will be checking
the execution over the next few days to make sure it is indeed working as
planned.

If you have any other addresses or words or subject lines you want added to
this list... then I will set up the file name for email retrieval... you will
have to edit your changes and return it to me.. and I will copy it over the
existing one.

Unfortunately, there is no way for you to PUT the corrections directly on this
listserv as yet.. but I may try to get something like that implemented.
