This is not strictly correct, it depends on the mailsystem/editor.  For
example, it used to be impossible to delete files from a filelist with
Pine/Pico so one had to use Elm/vi .  This was because there were always
artifacts left so you could never get the file down to 0.  This has been
fixed in 3.91 so now you can use either.  I'm sure there are other mail/
editor combinations that do the same thing, you can add the files but not
delete them.  In that case, look for another mail/editor combination.
