At the web interface, might there be a way to preserve the formatting of
lists, such as

line1
line2
line3

when proportional font is selected? The format is preserved in
nonproportional font, but if prop. font is selected, the lines come out as

line1 line2 line3.

Is this behvior a glitch, or is there some necessary reason for it? Thanks
