this discussion.
 
Leonard D. DuBoff, _The Law (in Plain English) for Writers. (John Wiley, 1992).
It is both current and cogent.
 
There is a tendency on these lists to see the world as we want it to be and
not as it is.  A brief legal reference is helpful in considering these
issues and their future implications.
