Hello to everyone,

I'm fairly new to this list and to Listserv, from the list owner's
perspective.  I've been using Majordomo now for a number of years, as founder
and moderator of both the GREEN-TRAVEL (500+ members) and INFOTEC-TRAVEL
(700+ members) lists.  Recently, INFOTEC-TRAVEL on Majordomo was "hacked" and
forced to shut down.  It has now been successfully moved to to Listserv at
Lsoft.  The move went relatively smoothly and the transition from managing
Majordomo to Listserv has not been particularly difficult.  GREEN-TRAVEL is
still running on Majordomo; so, I now manage both a Majordomo list and a
Listserv list.  I do like Listserv better.  Distribution seems to be far
quicker, approaching virtual real time.  It seems to be much more secure.
 And, the automatic error handling is delightful.  Plus, I can now
automatically insert banners into messages, which I could not do with
Majordomo.  For me, these factors make Listserv worth the extra expense.
