I'm using Eudora 5.2 and with some LISTSERV Digests, I have the following
additional option:

SET listname DIGEST MIME NOHTML

Additionally within Eudora Tools Options Attachments, I have set the
checked box for

[x] received MIME digest as a mailbox attachment

This allows me to process the Digest as a temporary mailbox, with all the
rights and privileges e.g., sort by who, date, subject and then clicking
on any that I care to read. Assuming I have sorted by SUBJECT, while
reading one, I can then navigate forward ("next") or backward
("previous') -- I've customized the toolbar with icons for EZ access.
