No, we are discussing the "super-list" feature available in 1.8c.  TOPICS
is a different thing altogether and only involves a single list.  "Super-
lists" give you a way to string several (possibly related) lists together
so that you can send a single administrative post to all of the subscribers
on all of the sublists but avoid sending duplicates to people who might
be subscribed to more than one of the sub-lists.  This is discussed in
both the list owner's and site manager's manuals for 1.8c in the section
where different kinds of lists are discussed--7.13 (I think) in the site
manager's manual, 2.something in the owner's manual.
