No pain, no gain.
If your list has little traffic, then the SPAM itself might not
be worth trying to "program" around.  If on the other hand,
SPAM causes your subscribers to "jump ship," then it would
behoove you to resubscribe your members (or have them resubscribe)
under their current e-mail address so that the semi-moderation
technique will be effective.
 
One size (technique) does not fit all in the LISTSERV world.
There are too many ifs, ands, ors, or butts ;-)
