I'm trying to teach users to use topics, but do not have time to hand-hold
people individually. I want to simply edit posts from subscribers on
review and submit them to the list and have them appear to come from the
subscriber, not from me. I do not edit content of the original post, but
need to change the subject line and trim excessive quoting.

Is there any way to edit a post from a subscriber on review and post it
to list without an extra "OK" step? I don't want the messages to show
that they came from me, because other subscribers need to see who wrote
the original message before they read it.

My mail reader (Yarn) supports resend ("Resent-from;" & "Resent-to:"),
and editing of all headers, except it does not allow changing the "From:"
line on the fly (I hate paternalistic software).

I've read the manuals and found them very unclear on "Resent." An example
with the actual header fields filled in and an explanation of exactly
what the result would be would be a great help.

I also tested quite a bit, and was finally able to edit a post and have
it appear on the list as if it had come directly from the subscriber, but
it required faking the "From:" line, submitting the post to the listserver,
and then approving the resulting query via OK. This two step process is
not practical for a busy list.

This problem is serious enough to me that I will probably drop LISTSERV
and use another listserver program that has the functionality that I need
if the problem cannot be resolved.

Thanks for any help.
