Whoa. That isn't the editor-header, that's the confirm; apples and
oranges. The former is the header sent with items sent to the list
editor for approval telling the editor how to approve the postings,
while the later is instructions to a potential subscriber on how to
confirm the subscription, which is CONFIRM1 in the default.mailtpl.

You can change that any time you like by putting a different CONFIRM1
in your listname.maitlpl . Send GET DEFAULT.MAILTPL to your host site
and find >>> CONFIRM1 . Look at how that is set up and look at the manual
for what the codes mean. Then put your customized CONFIRM1 in your
listname.mailtpl (doesn't matter whether you have one yet or not, will
be created when you do the PUT) by sending it to the LISTSERV address
as:

PUT listname.MAILTPL listname PW=xxxxxxxx
>>> CONFIRM1
your
 stuff
   here
etc.

You may preserve the coding or not, as you please. Explanation of the
codes is in the manual. It may help to get a good grasp on what they
actually do to have a copy of the message as sent (just sign off from
your list and sign on again and you'll be sent a copy) at hand.

If that is the only thing you want to customize PUT only that in your
listname.mailtpl and everything else will run by the default. Put only
the item(s) you customise in the listname.mailtpl
