Near the top of the DEMR it says this:

The  following  address is  currently  being  monitored: (Remember,  some
addresses may not be subscribers.)

As noted, some addresses may not be subscribers.  This can happen when someone
mails in a list-related command or an attempt to post a message, is rejected,
and the rejection notice or command response message bounces, usually because
the address is fictitious.
