The person with the question didn't state the period of the archives.
For ten years that would be 120 logs, but for weekly it would be 590 logs
(remember, most months have five "weeks", logs A, B, C, D and E).  GETTING
than many logs would take perseverance.  I the logs are shorter than
weekly, I would say forget it, using this technique.

I have wondered just how long it would take to do this, what the average
time per month of weekly logs would be.  If I've time, maybe I'll try it
for three months of weekly logs and see how long it takes.

When a LISTSERV list is moved from one host site to another the receiving
LISTSERV host site administrator does not GET the individual logs.  Rather,
he uses, I think, ftp to transfer the entire archives at once.  One would
have to contact the LISTSERV administrator for something like that, which
might not be a bad idea anyway, he might have some valuable suggestions.
