To prevent LISTSERV from using the LISTSERV backbone to distribute messages
from your list, add the following statement to your list configuration:

	Mail-Via= Direct

This will force LISTSERV to use SMTP for all messages.

If your list is very large and/or very busy, you should discuss this change
with your LISTSERV administrator before you make it, to ensure that it will
not adversely affect other lists or services at your site.
