Currently all the lists that I had created with listserv 1.8d are sending a
double subscription message to any new subscriber.  The messages each list
sends are the following:

FIRST MESSAGE:

SUBJECT: You are now subscribed to XXX-List
BODY OF MESSAGE:
Fri, 13 Sep 2002 14:57:16

Your subscription to  the YYY-List has been accepted.

Welcome to the YYY-L mailing list!

As  a  member  of  the  list,  you will  receive  an  e-mail  version  of
YYY-L  ....digest, every ....evening.

Please save this message for future  reference, ... instructions below.
1.   To   leave   the   list   at   any   time,   send   a   message   to
[log in to unmask] with the words SIGNOFF YYY-L in the body of your message.
2.   To   rejoin   the   list   at  any   time,   send   a   message   to
[log in to unmask] with the words
SUBSCRIBE XXXX-L <your name, no brackets> in the body of the message.
If you  have a question to: [log in to unmask]

THE SECOND EMAIL IS:

SUBJECT: Use guidelines for XXXX-L list
And the Body of this message includes all the above message except for:

Your subscription to  the XXXZZ-List has been accepted.

Is there a way to modify this? Since this is annoying for all the new
subscribers.  I have clear the WELCOME template for each list using the
listserv WWW interface but still I keep getting the 2 messages.
