I don't ever set anyone NOMAIL for error messages as that is a good way to
accumulate a lot of permanently inactive subscriptions very quickly. The
renewal system will get to them eventually, yes, but best not to have them.
If the sub. is MAIL, I set it to DIGEST to cut down the number of error
messages. Then, if the digest bounces another three or four days in a row,
I delete the subscription. If it is a DIGEST subscription to start with, I
delete it after three or four days of error messages.
I never set a sub. to NOMAIL for errors. Better to just delete it and
be done with it.
