I've been asked to review list server for our organization and determine
which lists are still valid and which are obsolete. Due to personnel
changes several of the lists have no owners.

Is there a way, through a command or through logs, to determine when a
list was last used? That is - when was the last time someone sent mail
to the list? Is there a better way to approach this?
