I own two lists on a VM LISTSERV and yesterday I accidentally
replaced (PUT) the header for one of my lists that included a
line of garbage below the actual header and the PUT wiped out my
entire subscription list. So I sent the following command to the
LISTSERV to get the old list (per the 1.8c List Owner's Manual)
get XXXXXXX-L (old pw=xxxxxxxx
where the X's are replaced with the appropriate information.
After I received the old version back from the LISTSERV I added
the line 'PUT XXXXXX-L LIST pw={my password} at the top and sent
it back to the LISTSERV just like the instructions said. But I
got the following message back for each address in the list
"Invalid RFC822 address - 2AAACAA/AAAABB. Recipient ignored." The
'2AAACAA/AAAABB' was different for each address. This in effect
restored my subscribers list but wiped out all their individual
subsription settings.
I've got ~940 subscribers with Topics set. Is there any way to
get back to the previous settings?
