More relevant to LISTSERV(R): if you do generate HTML, the subscribers
must have the correct SET (or via DEFAULT) options. SHORTHDR does NOT
"cut it."

I've also noticed besides the LISTSERV options, that encoding by the
browser that sends the mail, or perhaps the client like Eudora that
processes the mail is not always "correct" e.g., italicized data when
none was specified in the original WEB page; URLs that don't link; URLs
with spurious metatags.

A problem with emailed HTML is its ability to "hide" the underlying
process from the human mail reader. Double clicking on embedded URLs
(which might not actually be a URL) could cause damage. This particular
"feature" probably is better discussed on the virus (or hoax) forums.
