This depends on the web browser. Old versions of Lynx, for example, allow you
to type in a From line.
 
However, this point is irrelevant to iaf.net. Anyone could load lynx into
their account space connected to the Internet, make a little web page with a
mailto:address@... in it, and harass anyone they wanted to.
