I have four posts in the archives where the poster's clock was not working
properly (low battery, he said) with the date showing 2023, etc., far in
advance of the present time.

I have tried to revise the date using the standard get-put but have not
succeeded. Does anyone know if it is because dates cannot be changed? I
have read it is easier to remove a whole post than it is to edit a post.

These four posts come up on search requests when only the "since" date is
filled in (getting current day's archived messages, for example).
