Hello,
I run an announce-only list that publishes articles daily up to 5000
subscribers, mostly in the US. This is for a loose affiliation of
non-profit organizations of families of disabled infants and toddlers. Right
now we are using the LITE version 1.8d.

Our problem is that we need to sort by regional zip code to send out better
targeted information that is regional in nature (local meetings,
conferences, etc. We harvest zip code data during the subscribing process).
We understand that the full version of the list has the ability for us to do
this, but frankly, we can't afford it for our relatively small list size,
and since all we want to do is sort.

Does anyone know of an effective (and cheap) way of sorting our database of
names to create these on-the-fly subsets? Is there third party software
that might work - (like a compatible data base manager that would take my
master list, sort it per query, put the resulting list into a file and put
it to the server?)
