Ah !!, OK I am beginning to understand this, Where the confusion lies, is that
the message that was sent to me had on its headers with the list address (as
though the whole list got that message), unlike before which had the
administrative listserv address for the "ok" confirmation.

Thanks, your message is a relief, although I need to see the list behaviour
further to understand greater.
