Philo, you asked that the "address for submission" be your listserv
list's address. This means that all posts -- those from subscribers
as well as anyone attempting to post to the newsgroup -- will now all
arrive at the same place (the list's address). You now have all the
normal list owner commands available to control postings.

You can set the list to "Send= Editor" so you can approve all posts to
the list/newsgroup. You can set the list to "Send= Editor,Hold" and
"Editor= your@address,(LISTNAME)" to allow the subscribers to post
freely but to allow you to approve posts from non-subscribers. You can
set the list to "Send= Private" (with appropriate changes to the MAILTPL
file) so that someone who wants to post must first subscribe to the list
(and perhaps set their subscription to NOMAIL if they plan on reading
the posts in the newsgroup) before they can post. The option is yours.

The gateway will take care of putting the appropriate flag in posts
coming from the list to the newsgroup so that they will be accepted
in the newsgroup.
