S/he may be subscribed under two variations of the same email address, as in

        [log in to unmask]
        [log in to unmask]

Since Listserv treats this as two subscriptions, it is possible that one of
the addresses may be set to digest.

You can check out this theory by trying any of the following:

QUERY listname FOR user@*domain.com
QUERY listname FOR user@*.*
QUERY listname FOR *@*domain.com
