|They should get 2 responses.  If the get only a response to the second
command
|(INFO about &LISTNAME) then this is the problem.  The reply to the THANKS
|command is sent with a MAIL FROM:<>  the reply to the INFO is sent with
|MAIL FROM:<owner-listname@...>

If they got no response from EITHER, then it is possible list messages
are distributed via a different route ("backbone") than LISTSERV command
responses and there might be filtering (anti-spam) rules between the list
host and the list-owner's host, or possibly other problems like DNS (caching).

This is where the fun begins.
