I think I know the answer to this question but I'm hoping I'm wrong.  I
have a list that is composed of a few individual members and another
nested list.
(i.e. asmt-l is a member of asmt-vp-l)  I have send=private, but I would
like the members of asmt-l to be able to post to asmt-vp-l.  The posts
are rejected with a "you are not authorized to send mail to the
asmt-vp-l list from [this account]..." error.  I'm assuming that's
because, even though the user IS a member of the asmt-vp-l list by
virtue of being a member of the asmt-l list, LISTSERV only checks the
e-mail address of the non-nested members, not the e-mail addresses of
people who are members of a list that is a member.  
 
This makes sense  - LISTSERV has no real way of telling whether a
subscribed address belongs to a user or a list.  I haven't found a way
of telling it to "expand" the nested list to see if the person wishing
to post is a member of that list, and therefore legal.  Am I missing
something, or am I stuck with this?  Maybe nesting lists is only
valuable for announcement lists, not discussion lists.
