I suggest that my subscribers say only what they would if their noses
were in punching distance of the readers' fists.  IOW, if they
wouldn't say it face-to-face, they're asked not to say it on my list.
I delete people who cause prolonged disruptions which, given this
policy, are very rare.  Not sure this could apply in academe, but I
do run a list for novelists who are sometimes accused of thought.
