Yes.  Since your maillist already has a gateway to usenet news, it means
that all postings to the list are also 'echoed' to the newsgroup.
 
Your user simply sets themself to NOMAIL (set listname nomail).  Then they
can post to the list as usual, but will not receive any list mail in their
email box.  Then they simply read the newsgroup whenever they want to see
all messages (and replies).
 
If your list is not gated to usenet news, this will not work.
