To Transfer Existing Archive Files

1. FTP them down from the old server in binary mode.

2. FTP up to new server in binary

3. Delete these two files on the new server:
LISTNAME.DBINDEX
LISTNAME.DBNAMES

4. Either wait for LISTSERV to pickup the new files and regenerate DBINDEX
and DBNAMES (takes bout 2 hours, I think), or restart the LISTSERV service.
Preferably, do not restart the service.

Subject: Migrating Archives Logs


I am looking for help with migrating my listserv web archives on to another
host server.   I was told it was as simple as downloading the archives from
Home-Ease and simply uploading them to the new server.    But surely, there
must be other requirement such as the script generator etc.

If anyone has successfully done this, could you kindly advise or get in
touch with privately.
