Hi Everyone,

Some subscribers forward their mail making it somewhat
difficult to find which subscriber is causing a particular bounce.

This could be made much simpler by LISTSERV allowing the owner to
turn on or off subscription IDs which would be a unique number
associated with each subscription that would be inserted at the end of
the subject header line of postings while on.

Each subscriber would be assigned a subscription ID as he/she joins a list
and this ID would be related to his/her subscription until he leaves.
The list owner could send LISTSERV a command to turn on subscription IDs
at which point this ID number would be appended to the end of the subject
header line of all postings sent out for all regular, digest, and index
subscriptions. When bounces are returned they would most likely include
this unique subscription ID so it would then be simple to identify which
subscription went with which bounce.

What do you think about this suggestion?

Roger
