Pete was suggesting the use of a DISTRIBUTE job, which won't show a huge
"To:" field but put only one address in it. You can even hide the name of
the recipient completely if you specify "BSMTP" instead of their real
name in the //TO DD * list.

The file suggestion will work for non-BITNET recipients, but may create
problems for users who do have the ability to receive files. Non-BITNET
users can deliver files via BITNET through a DISTRIBUTE job. For
instance, if a BITNET user requests a file via GET from LISTSERV-TCP/IP,
it will deliver it via NJE through a DISTRIBUTE job to a LISTSERV sitting
on both networks.
