My name is Andrew Sedger and I work in the commercial fisheries management
section of NSW Fisheries, Australia.
 
I have decided to join this list for a specific reason:  I am currently
trying to establish an Australia wide e-conference on fisheries related
issues.  There are a number of such lists (eg Fish-Ecology, Fisheries,
Fishfolk etc) which operate from various countries, but none from Australia.
 
In order to establish this e-conference, I need to convince my Department
that the proposal will be useful and worthwhile.  I have some basic
knowledge of how e-conferences work, but at the moment I am interested in
summarising any appropriate literature in order to write a proposal for the
conference.
 
Would anyone please provide me with a few reference (if any have been
published) about e-conferences or mailing lists.
