I'm hoping all you wise folk will be able to help me out.
One of my subscribers is having the "too many hops" error problem. I
remember reading about this somewhere...but now that I need to know
about it, I can't find it in any of my manuals. Of course. ;-)
I did find this note by Stan Ryckman in my own listown-l archives, from
back in November:
"I agree. Further, there are even more compelling reasons not to do
this. On my small list, I have people who *need* to be DUALhdr in order
to even see who sent list messages, and also one who *needs* to be
SHORThdr to avoid problems with too many mail hops whenever a message
travels via the Listserv backbone."
I remember that "too many hops" means the message is bouncing through
too many machines on its path between the list and the subscriber--but I
don't remember if there's anything I can do about it. Will having the
subscriber set her options to "SHORThdr" help?
Thanks in advance--
