FWIW, why should I not try to be creative ?
1) SCAN lists BITNET and send 1 message or 1 msg by host with BCC ?
2) SCAN All LIST dump it and create a temporary OUR-BITNET-L ?
Could be cute if you can import list-id as topic or append the list name
to user name ...
 
I guess it all depends on numbers...
 
Just a wild guess so please don't shoot ... I got rid of the last BITNET
address this week while doing a quick scan for look-alike double-subs
