      We've been running with a beta version of LISTSERV 1.8b.  It's
   Beta_1.8b-5 to be more percise.  Anyway, it looks to have some
   very handy functionality in dealing with connectivity problems.
 
      However, it seems to have some conflicts with the database
   functionality of LISTSERV.  When anyone sends a database search
   routine to LISTSERV, we get the response:
 
      > SEARCH <string> in <list name> from 95/01/01
 
      Internal error 1001 while calling LSVDBS, search cancelled.
 
   Can anyone shed any light on this?  Thanks in advance.
