Though LISTSERV will accept the syntax
 
QUIET ADD listname "name info" <userid@node>
 
which is part of the multiline output of a REVIEW command, it would be
much better if you could have gotten the original subscriber list in
internal format either via a GET listname or perhaps used the MOVE
listowner (or is it maintainer?) cmd.
 
Why?  because you most likely are going to loose the mail distribution
attributes and options associated with each userid!  including userids
of gateways such as NETNEWS.
 
Realize that when you add these folks that some may not realize that
they are still subscribed ("MAIL=NO" aka NOMAIL) and might not be able
to view their subscription options (after they try to unsub) since mail
generated to them might be via SHORTBSMTP all this implying that their
FROM: address is different than listserv's TO: address).
