Dear friends,

What about Outlook 2000 (not Outlook Express), does it support the
'resent-from' mechanism for editing list postings?

Thanks

This is fine unless the listowner wishes to edit submissions. Doing
so with these settings will result in the post appearing to originate
from the moderator instead of the author.

The advantage of the "Resent-*" mechanism is that it allows editing
submissions (trimming irrelevant quotes, adding topic keywords to the
Subject, etc.) and the post still appears to originate from the
author.

If anyone is interested, there are details on setting a list up so
that trusted posters can post directly to the list, while posts from
non-subscribers and untrusted users go to the moderator (and can be
edited while still appearing to come from the author) in the archives
