A list_name FAREWELL file PUT to list_name FILELIST could be the best
solution (available since 1.7f).  For our list I deemed useful to mention
there the DIGEST and INDEX possibilities; a shorter version of the same
information could also be inserted in the INFO template in list_name
MAILTPL (available since 1.8a).
