Most existing guidelines for acceptable netuse would appear to be based on
those of the USA's NSF.  I haven't the time to download them, but I checked
a few minutes ago the existence of subdirectory acceptable.use.policies via
anonymous ftp to nis.nsf.net; also, some years ago, the following interactive
commands could be issued successfully:
 
   send listserv@bitnic send cren net_use
   send listserv@ukacrl send bod32 90
 
the latter applies to EARN.
