Hi. Yesterday, mail that was forwarded to SERIALST by each of
two moderators, was getting posted to the list with a bracketed
message that (appears to us) to be getting automatically generated
in the subject line(s). The bracketed appended message reads:

             [via LSMTP - see www.lsoft.com]

When mail leaves our accounts, the message is not present, yet it
is appearing in mail that is posted to the list and is now starting
to show up in incoming mail on the seredit list (where moderators
receive and review incoming mail).

The other phenomena is that when I forward mail in from the local
UVMVM mailer (using LMail) and post to the list, the LSMTP line is not
not apparent to me, yet my associate moderator (who edits the list
from a remote site, using a vax mailer) tells me she received the
message with the "[via LSMTP ...]" appendage in the subject line ...
So now I'm starting to wonder if we're seeing different things
and/or if subscribers to the list are seeing different things.

I'm not sure what's going on and would sure appreciate it if
someone could help out. While I know and love the LSoft web
site, I feel strongly that it is inappropriate for it to be
appearing in subject lines in messages posted to a list about
serials in libraries.

Examples of headers from SEREDIT (moderator's list for incoming
mail) and SERIALST (forwarded message to list from one of the moderators)
are appended.

Any help or insight in how to prevent this message from appearing in
mail that gets posted to the list would be much appreciated.
