Don't forget to include

NOTIFY= YES

in the list definition.

That doesn't help though if QUIET DEL  is done.

From time to time, you can also do a 

REV listname ALL BY DATE

CHANGELOG can be of use too.

Don't forget that the site's LISTSERV maintainer can delete subscribers, if necessary.
