On VM/CMS, I have a fairly automated procedure that I run the first day
of each month and the first day of each weekly cycle to remove
notebooks.  Most of them are simply deleted.  A few owners asked me to
send them copies.  I keep two separate files of weekly and monthly
purges.  Some archives are just kept a month and others are kept for
years.
