There are a range of answers depending on how fancy you want to get.

If you want to get really fancy, you might want the LISTSERV Maestro
product for your newsletters:

http://www.lsoft.com/products/default.asp?item=maestro

To accomplish what you want with just LISTSERV and LSMTP, you can use
the "mail-merge" features.

1. First make sure that LSMTP is set up to accept Mail-merge from the
LISTSERV site. (In WinLSCP: Configure -> Mailers -> Add or Modify the
entry for the LISTSERV server -> Protocol -> Accept mailmerge jobs
should be checked)

2. Add the following keyword to the list header: Mail-merge=Yes

3. Create a Bottom_banner template with merge fields.

For example:

============= SAMPLE BOTTOM_BANNER ====================
.fo off
*******************************************************

You are subscribed to this list as: &*TO;

To unsubscribe, visit the following link:
&*TICKET_URL(&LISTNAME;, SIGNOFF);
(for your protection, the URL is long, please make sure
to copy the entire URL)
=======================================================

If you send HTML messages, make sure you also define a
BOTTOM_BANNER_HTML template.

See section 4.6.3 of the LISTSERV Developers Guide for explanations
of &*TICKET_URL and other merge fields that are available to you.

If you've got a DBMS-backed list instead of LISTSERV's "traditional"
format, you can include other fields present in the LISTSERV list
table.

Merge fields are not limited to the bottom banner: you can include
them anywhere in the body of the message or even the subject line.
